About the Author - Michael L. Mathews
Michael L. Mathews has been an ordained minister for the past 14 years, but has chosen to take a path less traveled. That path has been one that includes a dual career in both change management and Church change.

Michael has filled in as interim minister in numerous denominations to help view and push change within the church. God has blessed him to observe positive change in the secular world, yet observe little to no positive change in religion. God has revealed that without improvements, that neither the Church nor Christians will experience God’s blessings.

Michael has stepped out and stated the obvious facts to both churches and Christians...that without new life in the Body of Christ, they are 'lifeless'. But the new life must be Christ, not programs. He has been privileged to see churches and people respond to a Christ-centered message of change and be renewed. In addition to his challenge for Christ-centered change within the Church, he focuses on challenging people to become who Christ has gifted them to become.

He believes that scripture states that the Church Body has a minimum of 16 unique gifts that are laying dormant within most churches. They are dormant as people have become pew sitters, talented singers, and ministry help-mates to a minister who is paid for perceived results; which seldom include exercising the gifts of the body of Christ. This type of mentality has robbed Christ from using the Body of Christ for positive change within a world that is perishing. This particular author and minister desires serious change in the life of Christians and the Church.

Please do not plan on inviting Michael to speak if you enjoy status quo or do not want to be challenged into God’s present day change. Michael holds degrees in both Biblical Studies and Technology Management. He has been married to his wonderful wife Pam for 22 years. Together they have two wonderful children; Jessica and Tiffany; ages 21 and 19.

"Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls. When he found one of great value, he went away and sold everything he had and bought it."  ~Matthew 13:45-46
